Project Background

Cadmus was awarded the USAID Digital Forward Activity, which provides tools and technical assistance to USAID Missions and Washington Operating Units to ensure digital initiatives are incorporated into USAID programs and activities. Digital Forward advance digital initiatives that enhance digital security and economic prosperity in partner countries, while safeguarding individual rights, freedom of expression, and democratic norms and practices.

The Regional Inclusive Digital Ecosystem, or RIDE, is an activity from USAID’s Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) under Digital Forward. A five-year program, RIDE will leverage the dynamism of Southeast Asia’s digital economy to promote a more inclusive, safe, reliable, and open digital ecosystem. RIDE will focus on strengthening the policy environment, supporting innovations that safeguard consumers, and promoting equity and inclusion in the digital ecosystem.

Position Summary

The Activity Coordinator for the RIDE project will be a junior to mid-level professional tasked with providing critical support to the technical team. This role involves coordinating and facilitating the implementation of activities designed to strengthen the digital enabling environment, promote responsible technology practices, and enhance equity and inclusion in Southeast Asia's digital ecosystem. Key responsibilities include organizing meetings, maintaining project schedules, assisting in the development of reports and documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders, including private sector partners, civil society organizations, and regional institutions. The Activity Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members, thereby contributing to the project's overall success in fostering an inclusive, safe, reliable, and open digital ecosystem in the region.

Responsibilities

Support to Technical Team: Assist the Director and Objective leads in developing and disseminating evidence-based frameworks for open, interoperable, reliable, and secure internet policies and standards in Southeast Asia (SEA)

Coordination of Activities: Organize and schedule meetings, workshops, events, and technical assistance with various stakeholders, including private sector partners, civil society organizations, and regional institutions

Project Monitoring: Track the progress of project activities, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within scope

Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate communication between project team members and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration

Documentation and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation required for project implementation and USAID reporting requirements

Knowledge Management: Maintain and update project databases, ensuring accurate and accessible records of project activities and stakeholder interactions

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the project team, including managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining project files

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Public Policy, Communications, Project Management, or a related discipline

2-4 years of professional experience in project coordination, program management, or a related field, preferably within the context of international development or the digital economy

Demonstratable management, organization, and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Understanding of digital policy issues, including internet governance, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital inclusion a plus

Legally authorized to work in Thailand without the need for sponsorship

Experience working on USAID or other donor programs preferred

Full professional fluency in both Thai and English, including excellent writing capabilities in English
