Introduction:
The Control and Prevention of Malaria (CAP-Malaria) project (October 2011 to September 2016) is funded by the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to rapidly scale up malaria prevention and treatment interventions to reduce malaria-related morbidity/mortality in areas with documented artemisinin resistance malaria in Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar. CAP-Malaria is implemented by University Research Co., LLC (URC) in partnership with Save the Children International (SCI) and Kenan Institute Asia (KIAsia). CAP-Malaria works closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH) as well as local and international implementing partners.
CAP-Malaria is implementing multi-prong strategies to examine transmission dynamic in the border provinces between Thailand-Myanmar and Thailand-Cambodia, including increasing access to quality diagnostic and treatment, community engagement, and building human resource capacity, and promoting cross-border collaborations in malaria control in target provinces.
CAP-Malaria/URC is looking for a motivated, dynamic and proactive individual for the position of Technical Officer to be based in Bangkok office with frequent travel to provinces bordering with Cambodia and Myanmar.
